Magdalenas

Magdalenas or ‘madalenas’ as they are commonly called: are they muffins or cupcakes? Not quite. In the UK they are called fairy cakes and these come close, except our ‘magdalenas’ don’t have toppings or frosting.

The Magdalena is one of those classics in Spanish homes, something you would find in any breakfast table and have dipped in Cola Cao, café con leche or a rich thick chocolate. You can have it for ‘merienda’ too. Any time is a good time for this fluffy delight.

Here we offer the square and the long ones. Cool thing? They come individually wrapped in packages of two, making it so convenient to take anywhere! Tempted yet?
